Well, well, well. The Supreme Court finally got around to telling Trump his tariffs are as illegal as a pineapple on pizza. Yes, you heard that right. After what felt like a lifetime of delays, the highest court in the land said, “Nope, not today, Donald.” And just like that, his emergency powers were about as useful as a screen door on a submarine.
According to Walter Bloomberg (yes, the one who probably has a hotline to the financial gods), these tariffs were supposed to rake in a cool $1.5 trillion over the next decade. But now? It’s all gone up in smoke, like a fart in the wind.

Trump, of course, threw a tantrum faster than a toddler denied ice cream. He called the ruling a “disgrace” and claimed he’s got a backup plan. Because, you know, when all else fails, just pull another rabbit out of the hat. Or in this case, a tarantula.
Trade expert Lawrence Herman chimed in, saying the trade tensions are here to stay, like that one guest who just won’t leave the party. He also warned that the US-Canada relationship is “shattered,” which sounds like the plot of a bad rom-com. Spoiler alert: no one’s getting back together.
And in classic Trump fashion, he’s now threatening the legal system. Because if you can’t beat ‘em, threaten to do something about ‘em. Very presidential.
Meanwhile, Bitcoin was like, “Hold my beer.” It went on a rollercoaster ride that would make even the most seasoned thrill-seeker queasy. Down to $66,500, up to $68,000, rinse and repeat. It’s like the cryptocurrency version of a soap opera. Will it settle? Who knows. But one thing’s for sure: it’s never boring.
