During an appearance on the Coin Stories podcast, Shirish Jajodia – Strategy’s Treasurer and Head of Investor Relations – emphasized that the company meticulously controls its purchases to prevent market manipulation.

Accumulating BTC Since 2020

In the year 2020, Strategy started accumulating Bitcoins and currently owns a significant amount of around 629,376 Bitcoins. As per SaylorTracker’s estimation, this Bitcoin stash is valued at over $70 billion.

The company has carried out numerous significant acquisitions; among them are the purchase of 55,000 Bitcoins at a cost of $5.4 billion in November 2024, along with an additional 21,021 Bitcoins for $2.46 billion in July 2025. The market’s responses to these transactions have varied, as Bitcoin experienced increases in value for certain periods and decreases at other times.

Buying “Around the Clock”

Jajodia disclosed that the company is largely active in the cryptocurrency market. In his words, they’re consistently purchasing Bitcoin throughout the day and night. He explained that their strategy involves quickening purchases whenever prices drop, considering these dips as chances for amassing more Bitcoin.

It’s evident that Saylor is firmly dedicated to purchasing Bitcoin, irrespective of its cost. Towards the end of 2024, he publicly promised to continue accumulating Bitcoin, whether prices reached new peaks or not. This action positions his company as the most resilient corporate investor in Bitcoin.
