SHIB: Doom, Gloom & Technical Jargon 📉

Oh dear. It seems Shiba Inu has gone and created another ‘death cross’ on its daily chart. Apparently, this happens when a short-term moving average decides it’s had enough and falls below a longer-term one. It’s a bit like a financial grumpy cat, really. 😼 Signifying, and we use the term loosely, “waning momentum”. As if we hadn’t noticed.

This is the second time this has occurred in 2025, which, frankly, is a bit show-offy. The last time (February 2025, for those keeping track – though why would you?) was followed by months of… well, let’s call it “thoughtful contemplation” at approximately $0.00001. Which is, you know, a price.

The fact that it’s happened again so soon after a ‘golden cross’ (which, as we all know, is just a death cross wearing a party hat) is…surprising. Or maybe not. Perhaps the universe just enjoys taunting cryptocurrency investors. It wouldn’t be the first time.

Currently, SHIB is mulling things over at $0.00001227. The broader market, meanwhile, appears to be experiencing a slight existential crisis. 🤷

Shiba Inu golden cross fakeout?

Remember that ‘golden cross’ in August? Yes, the one that promised imminent riches and a life free from financial worry? Turns out it might have been…um…a bit optimistic. A momentary lapse in reality, if you will. Blame it on macroeconomic uncertainty and September, the cryptocurrency market’s least favorite month. Apparently, things get gloomy when the leaves start falling. Who knew?

So, the golden cross was quickly overshadowed, and SHIB’s price settled back into a comfortable state of ‘sideways shuffle’ between $0.00001181 and $0.0000127. There was a brief, fleeting spike to $0.000013 on Aug. 30, but let’s not dwell on happy memories. They’re just…disappointing when they don’t last.

What happens next? Well, everyone’s watching. Because that’s what people who invest in things that go up and down do. A break above the moving average might inspire a bullish frenzy, potentially aiming for $0.000014 and even, *gasp*, $0.000016. But if things go south (which, statistically, they often do), $0.00001 remains a sadly comforting floor. Good luck with all that. You’ll need it. 🙃
