XRP: Oh, the Drama! 💸

Well, really! It appears OSL, that frightfully modern digital asset platform in Hong Kong – publicly listed, darling, publicly listed – has deigned to include XRP in its little portfolio. The fourth largest cryptocurrency, you know. One simply must keep up. 🙄

Apparently, one can now deposit and withdraw this “XRP” thing. How utterly convenient. They announced it in a “blog post” – how dreadfully informal – and now professional investors can fiddle with it via something called “Flash Trade” and “OTC”. Honestly, the jargon!

There are three pairings available, too: XRP/HKD, XRP/USD and XRP/USDT. Quite the selection, wouldn’t you say? OSL, ever so generous, transformed itself last year into a company dedicated solely to these digital oddities, and secured a rather hefty $300 million, just in case one needs a new yacht. 🛥️

A Lingering Affection

Despite a recent…shall we say, minor dip – 32% of its market cap, practically a tragedy! – those terribly serious “large holders” apparently aren’t selling. They’re still clinging to the belief that it’ll all come right. Such optimism!

And the ETFs? Oh, they are positively flooded with cash – $897.35 million, if you insist on specifics. From Canary Capital, Grayscale, Bitwise and Franklin Templeton, no less. Clearly, someone still has a penchant for a bit of risk.

Santiment, that rather clever outfit, suggests this is “bullish”. Goodness. Even with glacial progress, it seems this support helps prevent a complete collapse. One can only hope.

Sentiment, Sweet Sentiment

As of this moment, XRP is down a minuscule 1.83% to $2.03. Panic over, everyone! Though weekly it’s down 8.31%. A bit concerning, perhaps.

Santiment posits that, should regulations become clearer – a rather large “if”, wouldn’t you agree? – and the market conditions improve, then, only then, could XRP find its feet. The community, it appears, is being remarkably restrained, awaiting a sign of excitement. A bit like waiting for a terribly slow waltz. 💃

And the mood? It’s flipped from deeply pessimistic to… merely neutral. Progress of a sort, one supposes. Back to the middle ground, where everything is frightfully boring.
