So, Hyperliquid [HYPE] gets a nice 12% boost in one week—pretty good, right? Everybody’s patting themselves on the back, crypto’s top 20, champagne, the whole deal. But guess what? HYPE hits $39 and—oh, would you look at that—the bulls can’t get past the bouncer. “Club $39” is still exclusive. Trading volume? Sure, it’s decent. Big whoop.
Yeah, the chart says volume is steady. It’s like February all over again, for better or worse (probably worse).
Also, new users are showing up. Are these people optimists, masochists, or both? Are they gonna push HYPE’s price up? Hey, anything’s possible. People buy NFTs, after all. 🙄
Technical analysis says, “Eh, maybe pay attention here”
Take a look: the 4-hour chart handed HYPE a gold star for bullish structure after it wiggled above $37.25. Since then, the bulls keep charging $39.12, but it’s like watching toddlers run at a closed door.
The OBV? Completely flat. Nothing. It’s lying there, waiting for an espresso. Trading volume slips, so clearly, enthusiasm peaked last week, then went to get a sandwich. RSI’s hanging at 56, trying to convince everyone this is bullish, but let’s not kid ourselves. If nobody shows up, the party’s over.
Since May, HYPE’s in this thrilling “range” between $31 and $44.8. Lately, we got a little above $37.9—big milestone, apparently. Tell you what, if the bulls defend this support, it could crawl to $44.8. But unless someone buys more than just a lottery ticket, forget it.
Liquidations chart? Short sellers got wrecked from $36 to $39—smarter money, maybe, but not much. Longs? Barely a scratch. Funding is positive, Open Interest is up 4%—it’s like Wall Street optimism before the next scandal. Sure, that means short-term bullishness. Or maybe it just means people are bored.
If you’re trading, you want to see actual volume and demand before you start writing victory speeches. And let’s face it, Bitcoin could sneeze and move HYPE ten bucks in either direction. That’s crypto for you. 🤷♂️
