Bitcoin is still the most valuable cryptocurrency by far, worth over $1.46 trillion. Ethereum comes in second at $240.9 billion, and Tether, a stablecoin, is third at $187.9 billion.
BNB is currently the clear leader with a market value of $93.99 billion, trading at $696.19 after increasing by 6.1% over the past week. XRP is now in fifth place, with a market value of $81.90 billion, creating a significant $12 billion difference between the two cryptocurrencies.

VanEck, a major investment firm, recently launched the first-ever BNB exchange-traded fund (ETF) in the United States, called VBNB, as reported by U.Today. This comes after the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) began allowing investors access to a wider range of crypto ETFs, following previous approvals limited to Bitcoin and Ethereum.
This new regulatory approval is part of a recent surge in diverse crypto ETFs, now featuring funds that directly hold XRP, Dogecoin, Hyperliquid, and Chainlink.
Recent data from CoinGlass indicates a significant surge in open interest for BNB. Unlike Dogecoin and XRP, which experienced either no change or a decrease in open interest, BNB clearly outperformed them during the same timeframe.
HYPE flips DOGE
Recently, the HYPE token has experienced rapid growth, surpassing Dogecoin (DOGE) in overall market value. This achievement has propelled HYPE into the top ten cryptocurrencies, with its market capitalization now exceeding $16 billion, according to CoinGecko.
Older cryptocurrencies like XRP and Dogecoin could lose market share to newer ones.
