Ah, another morning. Another deluge of… *progress*. One sips one’s tea-bitter, naturally-and wonders if any of this truly matters. Still, one must report. It seems our digital dreamers are quite busy. Let us endure.
The Solana contraption is apparently…shipping. Murakami is selling pixelated flowers. And the Koreans, bless their industrious hearts, are attempting to legislate the utterly legislatable. A comforting routine, wouldn’t you agree?
Solana Mobile Ships Second-Generation Seeker Phone Globally
So, the Solana phone. The *second* one. They’ve sent it out to… fifty countries. Fifty! One pictures a legion of perfectly earnest young men and women, clutching these devices, awaiting the revolution. Apparently, some 150,000 have pre-ordered. A considerable number, though still a rather paltry offering in the grand scheme of things. Mr. Hollyer, the General Manager, speaks of “upgraded hardware” and “enhanced on-chain features.” As if that is what truly motivates the soul.

They boast of circumventing “traditional censorship.” One wonders what precisely requires such circumvention. And a “Seed Vault” for one’s…digital seeds? It all sounds terribly…serious. Targeted at “developers” and “enthusiasts.” Naturally. The price? A mere $450-500. A steal, if one values such things. A vast improvement on the first attempt, which sold a mere 20,000 units. One assumes they were promptly discarded.
Takashi Murakami Launches NFT Card Packs on Base Network
Murakami, that eccentric fellow, is now dispensing digital flowers. “108 Flowers Revised.” Goodness. On something called “Base.” Of course. Five cards per pack, for a trifling sum of 0.0014 ETH. Unlimited minting capacity. The shallowness of it all is truly breathtaking. One can pay with credit cards, too. Such convenience! They are categorised by rarity, from the blandly “Common” to the pretentiously “Special Art.” Purchased through his “Kaikai Kiki Marketplace.” A remarkable name, isn’t it?
The sale lasts seven days. One assumes the digital petals will wilt shortly thereafter.
South Korea Accelerates Digital Asset Policy Framework
The Koreans are…speeding things up. Deputy Prime Minister Koo Yoon-cheol proclaims Korea’s intent to be a “global leader.” They all do. A “Web3 ecosystem innovation forum.” The very words leave one exhausted. They speak of “digital transformation.” Such optimism! A lawmaker, Min Byung-duk, warns of missing the “wave.” One suspects little waves are always being missed. He points to Naver and Kakao. Impressive companies, to be sure, but hardly a bulwark against the inevitable tide of… well, one isn’t quite sure what.
They believe they can lead without “massive capital investments.” A delightfully naive notion. Leveraging “existing advantages.” One can only hope those advantages extend beyond a fondness for elaborate instant messaging.
