The Rex-Osprey DOGE ETF, tickered $DOJE, is expected to launch this week, according to ETF Store president Nate Geraci. It offers investors direct exposure to the memecoin’s mood swings, making it the first of its kind in the U.S.-because nothing says “financial innovation” like an internet joke on a stock ticker.

Backed by REX Shares and Osprey Funds-the brains behind a Solana staking ETF called $SSK-$DOJE is being distributed by Foreside Fund Services LLC. Yes, those names sound like they belong in a sci-fi novel, but sadly, it’s just finance.

This launch extends a parade of crypto-linked ETFs following last year’s approvals of spot bitcoin and ether products. And let’s face it, DOGE is practically begging for a retail-facing ETF, having been fuelled for years by Elon Musk tweets and random social media hype.

Market participants are bracing for volatility. “Think we’re in for a wild next 2 months for crypto ETFs,” Geraci warned on X, which is fancy-talk for “hold onto your hats-or wallets.”

DOGE last traded around 23 cents, up 7% in one day and nearly 15% on the week, leaving bigger, older coins like bitcoin and ether feeling a little insecure. 😏

And no, you’re not imagining things-this isn’t the first memecoin ETF idea. On Aug. 26, Canary Capital Group proposed a spot ETF holding TRUMP Coin, a Solana token that somehow exists in the political/crypto multiverse.
