MicroStrategy, a company known for its Bitcoin investments led by Michael Saylor, announced a profit of 47,079 Bitcoin in just three weeks this April. This gain is currently valued at around $3.6 billion, and their Bitcoin holdings are yielding 6.2%.
The company now holds a total of 815,061 Bitcoin, currently worth over $62 billion, as Bitcoin trades around $76,483.
MicroStrategy’s 2026 Bitcoin Buying Pace Outstrips 2025
As an analyst tracking MicroStrategy’s Bitcoin purchases, I’ve observed they’ve already acquired over 62% of their planned Bitcoin for 2025 in just the first 110 days of the year. If they continue at this pace, they could potentially hold over 1 million Bitcoin by the end of the year.
As a researcher tracking Bitcoin, I recently discovered a significant purchase. A new filing shows that a company bought 34,164 Bitcoin for $2.54 billion between April 13th and 19th. This is noteworthy because it represents over 5% of the total, fixed Bitcoin supply of 21 million.
Saylor framed BTC gain as a new performance standard for the company.
“BTC Gain is the closest analog to Net Income on the Bitcoin Standard,” he wrote in a post.
The company’s year-to-date yield stands at 9.5%, with full-year 2025 yield reaching 22.8%.
Capital Group Increases MSTR Exposure
Support for Strategy is growing from major investors. American Funds Fundamental Investors, managed by Capital Group, recently bought an additional 4.32 million shares of MSTR, totaling $747 million.
As a researcher tracking institutional investment, I’ve just noticed a significant move by Capital Group’s American Funds Fundamental Investors (ANCFX). They’ve added another 4.32 million shares of MicroStrategy ($MSTR) to their portfolio, representing a $747 million investment. This brings their total holdings in MicroStrategy to 10.33 million shares, now valued at $1.78 billion. It’s a notable increase in their Bitcoin exposure through MicroStrategy.

The recent purchase increased the company’s holdings to 10.33 million shares, worth $1.78 billion. With $3.3 trillion in assets under management, the company is now one of Strategy’s biggest institutional investors.
Strategy’s ability to keep growing at its current rate through 2026 will likely depend on maintaining access to affordable funding and positive Bitcoin price trends.
