Darling, institutional capital is sashaying on-chain, private credit and the money-market set slipping into tokenized disguises with the poise of a designer label.
Asset managers are increasingly turning to blockchain rails to distribute the familiar fare. Private credit, once the private joke of institutional circles, is now tiptoeing into tokenized markets. Hong Kong’s financiers are among the quick-change artists leading this stylish parade.
Flow Capital Sets its Sights on a $30 Million Tokenized Raise in an Onchain Lark
The Hong Kong firm Flow Capital Partners plans to put shares in its $150 million private credit fund onchain via DigiFT. Bloomberg notes the fund should be accessible on blockchain networks before the end of April, with an extra $30 million of tokenized shares to follow later this year.
Launched in June 2025, the fund is courting another $30 million via tokenized shares later this year. Management aims to swell total assets to around $250 million by the close of 2026, according to a release.
Interest in tokenized real-world assets continues to rise as investors crave faster settlements and 24/7 market access. The sector sits at a record $29 billion in capitalization at press time.
The Old Guard Dips its Toes into Blockchain Funds
Tokenisation of traditional finance products is gathering steam among the giants. Asset managers and banks are more than ready to strap conservative instruments like money-market funds onto blockchain rails, with all the flair of a new showroom opening.
BlackRock has pitched its BUIDL fund as a premier tokenised Treasury product, granting onchain exposure to U.S. government-backed assets. Built on blockchain scaffolding, the fund lets investors hold and transfer tokenized shares with uninterrupted market access.
Meanwhile, JPMorgan sauntered into the fray with its MONY money-market fund on Ethereum. It debuted in December with a $100 million internal allocation before opening to external investors, a neat little nudge toward broader participation in tokenized finance.
