The Crypto Circus: Hair Stylist by Day, Scam Kingpin by Night! 😅

In the tangled web spun by this so-called “celebrity hairstylist,” Indian police couldn’t even find Jawed Habib when they stormed his lair-probably hiding behind a wig or his next hairdo. All this fuss over an $800,000 crypto mess that leaves hundreds scratching their heads and their wallets empty. Classic, isn’t it?

They say Habib and his son are accused of conjuring a scheme so slick it would make Houdini jealous-promising sky-high returns on Bitcoin and Binance tokens, as if money grows on hair follicles or some magic crypto shampoo.

Celebrities, Crypto & Hair: The New Trio of Deception

Indian authorities have cranked up the pressure on the entire Habib clan-family business my foot-claiming it’s all a slick scam dressed as a crypto miracle. The scheme, worth a staggering $800,000, is like that bad hair day that never ends-just keeps unraveling.

Police tried to haul Habib out of his mansion Wednesday-probably expecting a quick confession-but nope, the guy vanished faster than a bad dye job. Guess he’s busy hiding behind his salon chairs.

And get this-the shady operation was run by Follicle Global Company, which sounds legit until you realize it’s just a fancy hair salon for crooks. This family business was allegedly promising investors between 50% and 75% annual earnings-probably as believable as a bald man’s hairline.

They supposedly milked between 100 and 400 eager souls, all lured by dreams of crypto riches, while the Habib duo played the trust card like a deck of aces-“Invest in our hair-raising scheme, and your finances will be as luscious as a salon commercial.”

Now, with over 30 FIRs filed and a ‘please don’t leave the country’ notice, the Habibs are probably contemplating a new career-maybe in hiding or, I dunno, hair modeling for the next scam.

#WATCH | Sambhal, Uttar Pradesh | Police went knocking today-probably to remind Jawed Habib that his hair isn’t the only thing getting snipped. 🤡

Crypto in India: The New Wild West

This isn’t an isolated incident spinning through India’s crypto space like a bad salon perm. August saw a political ex’s grand Bitcoin extortion plot, turning the lives of 14 folks into a lifetime of regret-pretty much jail wallpaper now.

And just last July, WazirX-India’s crypto giant-got hacked harder than a bad haircut, losing over $230 million. The thieves used some sneaky multi-sig wallet tricks-probably hiring a con artist with a beard and a briefcase.

India’s crypto troubles are part of a global rollercoaster-$2.17 billion stolen so far this year, enough to buy a small country or at least a lot of bad hair gel. And 2025 is shaping up to be the most disastrous year yet-proof that maybe the crypto gods have a sense of humor after all.
