Hold onto your keyboards, folks, because the official Dota 2 YouTube channel has just been hijacked. And who’s the culprit? A bunch of crypto scammers promoting their sketchy Solana-based meme coin, “dota2coin.” Because, of course, that’s what the world needs right now. 🙄
Our boy, Brad Lynch – VR enthusiast and hardware analyst extraordinaire – shared a screenshot of a livestream featuring the fraudulent token’s “official launch” on the Pump.fun meme coin factory. Yeah, you read that right. It’s called “Pump.fun.” If that doesn’t scream “trustworthy,” I don’t know what does. 🧐
Looks like Valve’s official Dota 2 YouTube channel was hacked by crypto scammers
lmao

The scandal quickly became the topic of discussion on Reddit, with one user jumping in to quip, “This guy is spreading lies so he can keep the coin all for himself!” Classic Reddit, always providing the drama we didn’t know we needed. 😏
Coordinated Attack, or Just Bad Luck?
It wasn’t just Valve’s Dota 2 channel that got hit. Oh no, the official YouTube channels of ESL (Electronic Sports League) and BLAST Premier (a fancy CS:GO tournament circuit) were also compromised around the same time. Coincidence? Or was this an elaborate crypto scheme operation? 🕵️♀️
Oh, and to add a cherry on top, YouTube itself had a massive outage earlier today. So if you couldn’t get your fill of meme coins and competitive gaming, you were probably cursing your internet connection like the rest of us. 😬
